We launched our Crafts in the Library series on 11 March with an open morning. Visitors who dodged the swirling snowflakes saw a full range of crafts books from throughout the Warwickshire Library Service and could borrow them at no charge. Coffee, tea, cake and biscuits took off any chill left after seeing the beautiful craft works on display with the artists who produced them. You can find out more details about the upcoming workshops on our Crafts in the Library page. To book, please download the Crafts in the Library Booking Form and return the completed form to the library along with your deposit.
We would like to thank the kind participation of our local artisans for contributing their time and efforts in support of the community library in Henley-in-Arden:

On Monday 11 March the Library will open its doors just to provide visitors with the chance to meet local craftspeople and see what you can do in a single workshop session.
Our workshops are meant to keep the fun in fund-raising, so we want to hear from you, and the artisans will be available to answer questions. Admission is free; coffee, tea and biscuits are 50p. Starting at 10:30am and finishing at 1pm.
See finished examples and explore what you would like to do. You can book places (for a small deposit) so that you don’t miss the chance to make something beautiful in good company. But we’ll keep booking forms at the desk in case you want to get a group together at a time when you can enjoy the workshop together. Among the possibilities are silk painting, paper box and card making, simple book binding, and paint-a-pot sessions. You can also sign yourself up for a yoga ‘taster’ session. And Henley Community Library members enjoy a ten per cent discount!
If there is a craft project you yourself would like to offer the community through a Library-organised workshop, we’d love to hear from you on 01564 792 941 or email henley.community.library@gmail.com
