Warwickshire County Council are reviewing their Older People’s Day Opportunities services. These services are those provided to people aged 65 yrs or over within their local community (often in a building based setting such as a day centre), which offer activities to help support individuals health and wellbeing and provide social interaction and stimulation. They can also provide an opportunity for carers, family members or friends to have a break from their caring role.
A review is being undertaken to discover if the services are achieving their aims and meeting people’s needs, but also whether older people in Warwickshire feel part of their local community and are not isolated.
