Library News

  • The next meeting for the Poetry Group is on Thursday 24 March 2:30 Theme: TRAINS.

  • PLEASE NOTE THAT THE LIBRARY WILL BE CLOSED EASTER WEEKEND (Good Friday through Easter Monday)

  • ANNOUNCEMENT: SUMMER HOURS have turned into Wednesdays!

Come see us on 6 April for our first Wednesday morning and have a cuppa and cake—and complete one of our volunteer forms so that we can keep our hours going.

Why are we doing this? In the survey we conducted in 2015 you told us you were not bothered by 6 pm closing but would welcome additional weekday hours. We’ll now close at 6 pm Tuesday and Friday year round, but open an additional weekday morning. So thank the survey monkey!

  • PRINT/COPY PRICES RISE TO MATCH WARWICKSHIRE LIBRARY SERVICE CHARGES.

Our budget in 2015 felt the squeeze of ink prices, so we knew we must charge more to cover our costs. We’ve got a County Councillor’s grant to help with some of the costs, so we can hold our prices to the levels just announced for the Warwickshire Library Service. We have a pretty good printer, but its tolerance for cheap inks is nil.

Our charges: B/W A4, 10p A3, 20p COLOUR A4, £1 A3, £2

Lamination: A4, £1 A3, £2

To keep your costs down, consider colour printing only those pages of your document where colour is essential. Set the print options for your document to grayscale or Black to cut costs. Ask for help if you don’t know how to do this. Best help available from Dan, Ben and Luca—Tuesday afternoons 3:30-5 or Friday afternoon after 4:30.
