4th July: A Candlelit Supper to mark the Centenary of WW1

The Library is hosting a very special event on Friday 4 July, a supper catered by Sue Dalby, with a menu she has researched from 1914.

Candlelit Supper

Against Odds Uncounted

John Alcock, one of our most active local poets, has devised the evening’s program which will feature well known and less known ‘voices’ from the time of the Great War, performed by a small group. The doors to St Nicholas Beaudesert church hall will open at 7 for a 7:30 start. Diners should bring their own bottles, but coffee and tea will be provided. A raffle will conclude the evening. Tickets are £25 and available at the Library, or by post from the Library’s registered office: Hollyhocks, Mayswood Road, Wootton Wawen, Henley in Arden, B95 6AX. The event is to raise funds for the library. Queries? Visit the Library or call 792 941. If you would like to help publicise this 4th July fundraising event, a poster is available to download from here
