Marie Rowe, veteran casting director and screenwriter, 11 December

On Wednesday 11 December, a treat for those composing their memoirs. At 2 pm in the Library, Marie Rowe, veteran casting director and screenwriter, will share her expertise in writing autobiography. A native of Coventry, Marie lived and worked for many years in Toronto and Los Angeles in the film industry. On returning home, she turned her attention to autobiography. Certified by the Birren Institute Autobiographical Studies Program and a member and instructor in the Association of Personal Historians, Marie will run a workshop series for small groups, starting in January at the Library. The workshops will help aspiring memoirists to ‘write the story of your life—two pages at a time’. Her talk will give some simple exercises in recalling and organising life history. Tea, coffee, biscuits served at the talk in exchange for donations in support of the library.
